VMUG UserCons are a free, one-day conference on topics related to VMware, its partner ecosystem and career enhancement. The day is organised and run by local VMware User Groups all around the world.
The Melbourne VMUG UserCon 2019 was on March 21st this year. It was the third time I’ve been lucky enough to attend, and it was certainly the biggest so far!
The agenda for the day was jam-packed, with almost 30 different sessions to choose from. Keynote speakers and various updates over the day rounded it out.
Some of my favourite sessions included;
- VMware Update by Wendy Nguyen and Gurkeerat Singh
- What Your Boss Wants by Steve Athanas
- Documenting Your Virtual Infrastructure with PowerShell & PowerCLI by Tim Carman and Matt Allford
- vSphere Security: The Quest for Secure By Default by Mike Foley
I’d like to give the Sydney one a shot, but free accommodation with family in Melbourne means it is unlikely.
